At Ultrasenselink, we take your privacy seriously. This document explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with our educational services and iOS game development programs. We operate under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and follow international best practices for data security.

By using our website or enrolling in our programs, you're agreeing to the practices described here. If something doesn't sit right with you, please reach out before sharing any personal information.

Automatically Collected Information

Like most websites, we gather technical data through cookies and similar tools. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you navigate our site. It helps us understand which parts of our platform work well and which need improvement.

How We Use Your Information

We're pretty straightforward about this. Your data helps us run our educational programs effectively and keep improving what we offer.

Primary Uses: Course delivery, student support, payment processing, and sending you relevant updates about your program or upcoming opportunities in game development education.

  • Enrolling you in courses and managing your account access
  • Providing instructional materials and feedback on your projects
  • Processing payments and maintaining financial records
  • Sending course-related announcements and schedule changes
  • Analyzing learning outcomes to improve our curriculum
  • Responding to your questions and technical support requests
  • Maintaining platform security and preventing fraud

We occasionally send information about new courses launching in autumn 2025 or early 2026, but only if you've shown interest in those areas. You can opt out anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.

Sharing and Disclosure

We don't sell your personal information. Period. But we do work with certain partners who help us deliver our services, and they might need access to some of your data.

Service Providers We Work With

  • Payment Processors: Handle tuition transactions securely according to PCI-DSS standards
  • Cloud Hosting Services: Store course materials and student data with encryption
  • Email Communication Tools: Deliver course announcements and support messages
  • Analytics Platforms: Help us understand how students use our learning resources

These companies are contractually required to protect your information and can only use it for the specific purposes we authorize. They can't use your data for their own marketing or other activities.

Legal Requirements

Sometimes we're legally obligated to share information with Taiwan government authorities, courts, or law enforcement. This only happens when required by valid legal process or to protect rights and safety.

Your Rights Under Taiwan Law

Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act gives you several rights regarding your information. Here's what you can do and how to exercise these rights.

Your Right What It Means
Access Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
Correction Ask us to update or fix inaccurate information
Deletion Request removal of your data after course completion
Data Portability Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
Processing Restriction Limit how we use your information in certain situations
Objection Oppose processing based on legitimate interests

How to Exercise Your Rights: Email us at [email protected] with your request. Include your full name, enrolled courses, and which right you want to exercise. We'll respond within 15 business days as required by Taiwan law.

Keep in mind that some data needs to be retained for legal or contractual reasons. For example, we must keep financial records for seven years under Taiwan tax regulations. In those cases, we'll explain why we can't delete certain information yet.

Data Security Measures

Protecting your information is something we invest in continuously. Our security approach combines technical safeguards with strict internal policies.

Technical Protections

  • Industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Firewalls and intrusion detection systems monitoring our network
  • Secure backup systems with encrypted off-site storage
  • Two-factor authentication for staff accessing student data

Organizational Safeguards

Our team members can only access the specific data they need for their roles. We train everyone on data protection practices and update these trainings regularly. Access logs help us track who views what information and when.

Despite our best efforts, no system is completely immune to security breaches. If something does happen that affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Taiwan regulations and explain what information was involved and what steps we're taking.

International Data Transfers

We primarily store data on servers located in Taiwan. However, some of our service providers operate infrastructure in other countries, which means your information might be transferred internationally.

When this happens, we use approved transfer mechanisms like standard contractual clauses to maintain appropriate protections. Our cloud hosting partner maintains servers in Singapore and Japan, both of which have data protection standards comparable to Taiwan's regulations.

We never transfer data to countries with inadequate privacy protections unless we have specific safeguards in place, such as binding corporate rules or your explicit consent.

Cookie Policy

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Some are essential for the site to function, while others help us improve your experience or understand how people use our platform.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Required for login functionality and maintaining your session. You can't disable these without losing access to key features.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences like language settings or previously viewed courses.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand which content is most valuable and where students get stuck in the learning process.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though this might affect how well our site works for you. Check your browser's help section for specific instructions.

Student Data and Learning Analytics

Because we're an educational platform, we collect specific information about your learning progress. This includes quiz scores, project submissions, time spent on lessons, and interactions with course materials.

We use this data to give you personalized feedback and identify where you might need additional support. Our instructors can see your progress to provide relevant guidance, but they access this information through secure systems with audit trails.

When analyzing learning outcomes across multiple students, we aggregate and anonymize the data so individual students can't be identified. These insights help us refine our curriculum for future cohorts starting in autumn 2025 and beyond.

Children's Privacy

Our programs target adult learners and individuals at least 16 years old. We don't knowingly collect information from younger children. If you're a parent who believes your child under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately so we can delete it.

For students between 16 and 18 years old in Taiwan, we may require parental consent before enrollment depending on the specific program. This aligns with local regulations regarding minors' contractual capacity.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Different types of data have different retention periods.

After you complete or leave a program, we retain your learning records for two additional years so you can request transcripts or certificates. Financial records stay for seven years to comply with Taiwan tax regulations. Marketing preferences and email communication logs are kept for three years unless you unsubscribe earlier.

When data reaches the end of its retention period, we securely delete or anonymize it. Deletion means the information is permanently removed from our active systems and backups. Anonymization means we strip out identifying details so the data can no longer be linked to you personally.

Changes to This Policy

We update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify active students by email and post a notice on our website homepage.

The "Last Updated" date at the top tells you when we made the most recent changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically, especially before sharing new information with us. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Third-Party Links

Our platform sometimes links to external websites for supplemental resources or tools relevant to iOS game development. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.

Before providing personal information to any external site, read their privacy policy. Just because we link to a resource doesn't mean we endorse their data handling practices.
