iOS Game Development Programs

We teach people how to build mobile games from scratch. Not just theory—actual working games you can show people. Our autumn 2025 cohort runs for eight months, and you'll walk away with portfolio pieces and real development experience.

What You'll Actually Learn

Game development sounds complicated. And yeah, parts of it are. But we've taught over 200 students since 2019, and we've gotten pretty good at breaking down complex stuff into manageable pieces.

Most people come in knowing nothing about Swift or SpriteKit. That's totally fine. We start with basics and build up gradually. By month three, students are usually working on their first playable prototype.

  • Foundation Phase (Months 1-2) Swift fundamentals, Xcode environment, basic 2D graphics, touch input handling. You'll build a simple endless runner by week eight.
  • Core Development (Months 3-5) SpriteKit framework, physics systems, collision detection, sound integration, UI design for mobile. This is where your main portfolio game takes shape.
  • Polish & Publishing (Months 6-8) Performance optimization, App Store preparation, monetization basics, analytics setup. We help you actually submit something to the store.

Who Teaches This Stuff

All four instructors work in game development professionally. They teach on weekends and evenings because, honestly, they like teaching. Each brings different specialties to the program.

Program Timeline & Enrollment

We run one cohort per year. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7-9pm) plus Saturday workshops (10am-2pm). Takes commitment, but the schedule works for people with day jobs.

1

Application Period Opens

June 15, 2025

Submit a short application telling us why you want to learn game development. No previous coding experience required, but we do ask about your goals and available time commitment.

2

Interviews & Selection

July 8-22, 2025

Quick 20-minute video calls with shortlisted applicants. We're looking for genuine interest and realistic expectations. Class size capped at 24 students to keep instructor attention manageable.

3

Program Begins

September 2, 2025

First session covers setup, expectations, and initial Swift concepts. Students typically spend 10-15 hours per week on coursework between classes—this isn't a casual weekend hobby.

4

Completion & Showcase

April 28, 2026

Final presentation where students demo their completed games. We invite local developers and studio representatives. Some students have landed interviews from these showcases, though we can't promise job outcomes.
